You work in a laboratory/R&D/QA environment where many test machines need to be loaded/unloaded or where repetitive testing needs to be carried out.
Solution:

The Ko-loader or the Ko-bottafel. Neither solution is a standard solution, but rather a concept. A good example of the Ko-loader is the loading and unloading of a tensile testing machine. If possible, we provide a storage area where the samples can be stored and returned after testing.
In a destructive test, we ensure that the components of the samples are removed. Or how about loading and unloading a test bench and repositioning the samples in different orientations? To achieve this, minimal communication with the laboratory machine is required. But we can solve this too. Will it be via IO signals or Ethernet? Do we need to figure this out ourselves with the supplier? No problem, that's all part of the job.
Would you like to see the data linked in a CSV file, so that you can draw the necessary conclusions afterwards? We can take care of that too.
In addition to the Ko-loader, the principle of the Ko-bot table may also be useful to you. In this simple concept, we place a cobot in the centre of a table, allowing tests to be set up flexibly in the four quadrants. A cobot can be used very flexibly in a laboratory to avoid repetitive tasks and allow people to be deployed more effectively and analyse data.

Our Ko-piler comes in several forms:

A combination of a mobile frame, a telescopic lift and a cobot

Depending on your application and product, we will dimension the correct gripper and make the right choice from the above options.

Palletising on EURO or INDU pallets, up to 2.2 m or higher, with products of all shapes and sizes? We've done that before, don't worry.

Unique elements: We ensure a suitable supply of products to the Ko-piler. Do you need some extra conveyor belts to be provided and controlled? Then we will do this from our software.

Is quality control based on weight or barcode required? No problem either. A weight check or barcode scanner can be built into the input.
​
Products that are rejected can then be easily ejected by the cobot.

Plastic or paper bands must be applied around your products to hold multiple products together.

Solution:
Ko-bonder. We developed a solution to automate a manual banding machine.
​
We integrated an ATS banding machine into an automatic cell, where the operator still places the parts on the belt and they come out with a wrap. The packages are fed into the cell separately, after which each package is pushed through the banding machine by a servo-driven pusher. Both the X and Z movements are servo-driven. This allows packages of different lengths and heights to be processed at maximum speed. Input and output belts can be supplied or your own can be built in.

Do you have a different banding machine? Let us see if we can process it too. Unique elements: We created an easy-to-operate machine that uses recipes to easily switch between different packages to be bundled. As always, safety comes first. The necessary measures have also been taken for this cell, such as an input and output tunnel and safety contacts on the doors.

You work in the metal industry and machines such as CNC machines, lathes, bending machines or
ovens need to be loaded and
unloaded.
​
Investing in a new processing machine with automatic loading and unloading is one
option. However, you probably still have a few machines that work perfectly well, but where automation would also be desirable.
With our knowledge of CNC controls, we are happy to work with you to automate older CNC or other metalworking machines.
For example, we have already equipped a HACO FAT lathe, a DMG Mori milling machine and a Crippa bending machine with the necessary automation. Where possible, we integrate our solution with the control system of the existing
machine tool. If this is not possible, we will find a workaround.

Every machine tool is different, so every application is unique. We examine each application and look for the simplest solution. In doing so, we draw on our many years of knowledge of CNC controls and communication with such controls.

You use glue in your production process and want to apply it automatically to guarantee the quality of your product.

Solution: Ko-gluer
​
Here too, we are talking about a concept rather than a standard solution. Several automation projects have already been carried out for the application of glue. But what is glue? Is it a single-component, two-component, hot melt, instant glue, etc.?
You may already have a dosing system in place at your company and only want to automate the application process.
​
Together, we will look for the right solution in terms of loading the parts, applying the adhesive and assembly. If some of these tasks are performed by an operator, a cobot may be useful. If this is not the case, a robot may also be considered.

Is pre-treatment required before gluing?

If so, a Corona or plasma device can be integrated into the installation.

You manufacture (frozen) products, packaged in bags, and want to package these products in boxes.

Solution: K-asepacker
​
This machine is by far the most compact on the market. The frame is constructed from aluminium profiles. A conveyor belt feeds the American boxes. The boxes continue on another conveyor belt to the filling position.
The products arrive on another conveyor belt and are pushed onto flaps by a servo pusher. Depending on the size of the bags and the desired stacking in the boxes, the bags are pushed onto the flaps in groups of 1, 2 or 4.
The flaps are now rotated 120°, causing the bags to fall into the boxes in a controlled manner. The box is shaken while it is being filled. Once filled, the box is transported further. In the next station, it is shaken again and the bags are pushed down if desired. Finally, there are eccentric rollers to ensure that the boxes can be closed properly.
